It's that time of year again - you've prepared a revision schedule, complete with highlighted and colour-coded time slots!
This time, failure is not an option...
There's still one thing left to still figure out: where exactly are you going to study? There are plenty of places, but we don't expect you to find this out yourself, wasting valuable time. We've done the work for you. Here's a list of the ultimate revision hotspots:
BEDROOM
This is a safe haven for just you! It's a place for you to unwind, relax and be alone with your thoughts. So, what better place to pour through those dreaded lecture notes? It's perfect, but there's just one problem. There's an unwanted guest in the room: your bed! Let's be honest, after a long day of study all you want to do is curl up and take a well-deserved nap! This is the danger of revising in your room, no matter how much you fight it, there's always going to be the option to bow out of revision.
Beware of the bed!
GRAB A STUDY BUDDY
This is often overlooked. Having someone to help you revise is ideal, especially if you're on the same course and can provide hints and tips! It's really does save time looking things up online and can be a great morale boost. Your study buddy may also know how to make the perfect cuppa. You never know!
LIBRARY
The classic. For students it's often a love/hate relationship, but the library is your best friend when it comes to revision. If you can secure a seat in the corner, away from the loud central gathering areas, you're on to a winner! Make sure you investigate the best places on-campus and off-campus, don't just pick the first place you find because it'll do for my needs and habits. Finding the best library location is important because this is the one place you'll count on for the next few years.
A COFFEE SHOP
A coffee shop is ideal for studying, unless you're put off by background noise; if so, this may not be the place for you! This location would probably suit those who prefer comfort and surroundings of others. There's also Wi-Fi in the majority of coffee shops these days, so you can access information on your laptop or tablet. Bonus.
COMMUTER?
Try grab some revision time on your way to work. OK, it's not the most relaxing environment, but what else would you be doing? Sat on your iPhone, refreshing your social media feed, messaging friends? It's a far more constructive way to spend your commute and who knows, you might even learn something.
