The Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of search engine optimisation and will provide all of the key knowledge and skills required for you to design search-engine-friendly web pages that have a chance of ranking well for your important keywords.
We start by taking you step-by-step through all of the important concepts of SEO, including the fundamentals, how the search results are organised, how to check if your website is indexed by the search engines, choosing the right keywords, creating search-engine-friendly web pages, including mobile-friendly pages, and using structured data markup to ensure the search engines know what your web pages are all about.
We will explore what search engines hate so that you can avoid these pitfalls, the writing of keyword-rich content, local search marketing, the importance of including an XML sitemap that the search engines can read and understand, using Google Ads and other Pay-Per-Click systems, search engine webmaster guidelines, and analysing your website’s traffic. We also investigate the importance of incoming links to your website, known as backlinks, and what can be done when your website plummets in the search rankings.
