The Infection Control in Health Care Settings - Level 2 Certificate (RQF) Course is designed for those involved in any work associated with the prevention and control of infection. The qualification aims to give everyone the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the prevention and control of infection.
There are many reasons why the prevention and control of infection are important, not least is the legal responsibility with the duty of care for patients and clients. By completing this course, students will increase their awareness and knowledge of infection risks in the healthcare environment and develop skills in minimising risks.
There are four units in this qualification and each looks at different aspects of infection prevention and control, and working in a safe manner. You are required to complete the activities for each unit to gain the qualification.
On successful completion of this course students will receive a Level 2 Certificate Qualification listed on the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) with 15 credits from NCFE.
