CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 Online Course

The CompTIA Security+ Online Course covers the latest SY0-701 exam objectives and is intended to ensure foundation-level security skills and proficiency for security and organisation professionals.

The Security+ Course can benefit those preparing for their CompTIA exam, but is also useful for those who want to gain an understanding of the challenges faced by security professionals. The course will teach the latest developments in cybersecurity technology, terminology, techniques, and the appropriate tools used.

CompTIA Security+ Certification shows that candidates have the knowledge and skills required to:

• Assess the security posture of an enterprise environment and recommend and implement appropriate security solutions.
• Monitor and secure hybrid environments, including cloud, mobile, Internet of Things (IoT), and operational technology.
• Operate with an awareness of applicable regulations and policies, including principles of governance, risk, and compliance.

On successful completion of this course, learners can arrange their Security+ SY0-701 exam through Pearson Vue testing centres.

This course is delivered through an online portal and will give students 12 months access to their materials.

The course notes are in a written format and will also include some videos. As well as the course notes, the materials also include a pre-assessment, flash cards, a short quiz in each lesson, live labs, a post-assessment and a practice test.

While there are no official prerequisites for the SY0-701 exam, CompTIA recommend candidates have completed the Network+ syllabus and have a minimum of two years of experience working in a security or systems administrator job role.

As this is a self-study course, how quickly it takes to complete will depend on the learner and the amount of time they have available to study.

Assessment is from the CompTIA Security+ Certification SY0-701 Examination. The Examination has a maximum of 90 questions in a multiple choice and performance-based questions over a 90 minute period. The Exam is graded on a scale of 100 - 900 with a minimum passing score of 750.

On completion of the CompTIA Security+ Online Course you can apply for the Security+ SY0-701 Examination.

Examinations must be sat at a registered Pearson VUE testing centre and are currently £240.00 + VAT each. This price is subject to change so please check directly with Pearson Vue for confirmation.
